voice volume (2019-02-15 10:21) |

First of all, let me confirm the need to limit cycles to 15000. Otherwise the animations are very choppy.
The game also suffers from an issue where the voice volume is overpowered by the MIDI volume. You can partly enhance the speech volume by adding "mixer.com fm 200:200" to your [autoexec] section before starting the game. But that is probably not enough, and you will need to find a way to lower your MIDI volume somehow.
Generally this game is probably better played using ScummVM. |

Graphics Issues Fix (2017-11-03 02:41) |

For anyone having issues with glitchy/choppy graphics. Slow the cycles down to about 15000 instead of auto or max. The glitches are caused by the game running too fast so slow it down to how its originally meant to run. Runs 100% on 0.74!! |

Works fine on DOSBox 0.74 (2012-03-09 03:10) |

I tried T7G with DOSBox 0.74, and it didn't lock up when trying to install the game (which happened on DOSBox versions 0.73 and earlier). Applied the v1.30 patch to the game for Sound Blaster 16 support. |
|

Try the original install and patch 1.30. (2011-09-10 13:19) |

I installed from the original discs and applied update v1.30. This, together with 63 megs of RAM, seemed to improve the sound (INSTALL.EXE will now recognise the SB16) and the perfomance. |

I tried this in v0.74 and didnt get it to run well, i have the original late edition that supports windows too. i burned the cd's to .iso and installed it in dosbox, thing is i can only get sound partly during intro and in the game its like it glitches or you get the feeling you just smoked to much weed. Its strange tho, i run 11th hour perfect. I tried messing around with the cpu settings and it gets alittle better but still far from smooth. |

forgot to meantion that there was a Windows 95/98 (in 1999) release of the game that also works on later versions of Windows as well (set to Windows NT 4.0 compatibility), but also Trilobyte released a beta version of this player as a free download (http://www.tbyte.com/downloads/) which would be a faster and more stable option for Windows users who only own the dos version of the game. I have not been able to mount the cds or isos of the game on a Mac OS X computer, while the same options work on a pc (so take that into consideration if you have a Mac). |

Notes:
1) Only original dos version set will install.
2) None of the cd audio tracks play (credits and part of intro will be silent), not detrimental to gameplay.
3) Graphical errors incude: layering problem on blood maze puzzle when the heart is clicked, all others are normal for the game (color flickering, out of sync voices when characters talk; these occur on the original game).
4) If sound studders badly, use ddraw or set the game to MCGA. |

well, the game is somewhat playable.. but there is too many GFX errors to really play the game.. but the sound and the gameplay seems to work.. |
