No voices of characters - My solution (2016-03-11 11:17)
ge2001
My Version of Bazooka Sue is a german version from the original PC Joker magazine CD 11/1997.
I do not found any german 'umlauts'. L?WE.WAV, for example in my version is named L_WE.WAV.
I missed the voices of the characters while playing.
So, i take a look inside the PATCH directory of Bazooka Sue and open the JVSOUND.CFG file.
In my case it looks so:
I use that values to config the Sound-Soundblaster inside the Bazooka Sue DOSBox profile.
TYP = sb16
ADDRESS = 220
Interrupt = 10
DMA = 3
High DMA = 7
OPL-Modus = opl3
OPL-Emulation = default
OPL-Samplerate= 22050
No Mixer
Restarting Bazooka Sue everything works fine, with voices.
But Bazooka Sue is a little bit buggy. Sometimes no Buttons inside the Options Menu.
And i don't realy play it until now, only a few minutes.
Regards
Playbale SOMEHOW, but with bugs. (2004-04-29 05:21)

The scrolling isn't so slow if you select software scrolling and at least 16 pixels... Then it's playable. HOWEVER, DosBox doesn't support umlauts (ö,ä,ü...) and Bazooka Sue's sound file structure has a lot of them (like LÖWE.WAV) - as soon as these files are required (beginning of the 2nd chapter) the game will crash immediately. You'll have to turn of sound completely during these scenes (especially: when the chinese is going after the hure, when you are in the rooms of books and during the situation with the crocodile on the ship). All other stuff seem good supported (tested on AMD 2500+, Win98SE)

Somehow playable, but scrolling is _extremely slow_.
