After clicking on New Game (Like Alfa_C nothing else is clickable) simply waiting for a minute or two will eventually fire up the screen and let you proceed with creating a character and starting a game. However, once in the game everything seems to work fine, until you try to access the logistix or other related screens in the game, there's a long pause much like when you first try to create a game, but eventually it shows up. So the game IS playable, assuming you have enormous patience or you don't mind not being able to utilize a few crucial screens.
DOSBox 0.73 for Windows to run BC3000AD v2.09 (2010-01-08 15:44)
Alfa_C
I could not get BC3000AD v2.09 to run under DOSBox 0.73. The game is the downloaded free version, patched so as not required to be run DEBUG mode. I get the Midi and Sound Effects to work from the SETUP program. The initial menu screen comes up (with music), but only "New Game" is clickable and provokes a black screen that can only be shut down by shutting down DOSBox. The other menu items are not clickable and do nothing. If you can get this game to work, could you please specify the setup used? BTW, I did the mods as specified by Lord_Dragon, but this only got me to the Menu screen. Thanks for any help.

At Windows platform, BC3K runs perfectly with DOSBox v0.72. You need to do two things before playing. First, enter in game setup and configure the audio. Second, edit the BC3000AD.INI file with the correct path to the game (inside the DOSBox).

BC3k does nothing after painting the main menu. I was able to get into the game once by blindly clicking around, but nothing happened after the first frame. Audio continued to work however... This is on the OS X build of DOSBox.
