I haven't tested the game except to get it running for about ten minutes. I'm HOPEFUL that, when it's time to switch cds, it will allow you enough time to make a save before the crash. That way you can edit the conf to put in the filename and label of CD2. And yes, the game is bootable from CD2.
Unless I'm missing something and there is a way to add multiple, incremental labels...
I have a physical copy of the UK Missing Presumed version and it's volume label is DW2CD1_ENG. Sadly, I can't get it to run without crashing.
Works, but Disc 2 issues (2011-05-29 23:48)
prometh
Using DOSBox 0.74
I cannot mount both discs at the same time, like I do with other multi-disc games. It keeps asking me to insert disc 1. If I don't mount disc 2, the game plays.
Choppy sound (2011-01-24 14:36)
zog
The sound craps out after playing for a few minutes. Going in and out of full screen sometimes fixes it, but still annoying. Doesn't allow me to select Gravis Ultrasound.
0.73 (2010-03-08 22:05)
slogra
Had choppy sound with Sound Blaster 16 selected. Choosing Gravis Ultrasound at setsound fixed it for me.
0.73 Working perfectly (2009-12-14 14:53)
ALPHATT
Works perfectly, but only with the newest .exe (3.0)
If I use the original dwb.exe I get performance issues and gfx bugs.

Trying to run with 0.72 on OS X from original discs. Any help? Will give 0.70 a go.

as dmonkey said: works with some slowdowns from time to time. Sound is also choppy a bit, but overall it works ok.
0.70 works great (2007-06-19 19:04)
dmonkey
0.70 works great for me out of the box.
Mostly full speed with a little bit of animation slowdown on some of the videos, but sound isn't effected.
Had to mount the cdrom with the -t cdrom argument so it wouldn't complain about not finding the disc, ala :
mount d: d:\ -t cdrom
Left it at auto for the cycles (auto switches to max when the game starts) and am running a amd64 3000+ on windows.
0.65 works (2006-04-10 13:06)
Jue
works almost fine: needs at least 21000 cycles. Sound still shutters but less than in dosbox 0.63
PS to ShaKShoOKA: this is an emulation site; if you want games, read the rules and check the web !
0.63 CVS - very slow (2006-01-07 16:21)
Noscript
It is very slow and stutters on my 3000+ Machine. Playable but no fun.
