Forgot to mention:
May have to change El-Fish's video driver by running the Reconfig.exe program.
Press ENTER on change video setting - will say DONE - then choose exit.

Have to do this anytime you change the video mode emulation in DOSBox, i.e., S3 to ET4000, and vice versa.

The MT32 to MIDI remapping can be taken care of by your sound card drivers / Sound Fonts or maybe MidiOx.

El-Fish works fine in 640 x 480 in DOSBox v0.74!
That's the improved 640 x 480, not 640 x 400!

Just modify the 'MACHINE" line in the .conf file to:

machine=svga_et4000.

With the default machine=svga_s3, screen gets chopped into four flashing pieces on loading a tank.

Works great this way! Perfect!

Only thing remaining is remapping the MT32 MIDI to GM.

it works perfectly in 0.63 for me. 640x400 (not 420). goes to full-screen with a little clipping.

I've notice no problem with the HiRes version under DosBox 0.61
In another way, I'm unable to launch standard resolution at all !
