FB.CFG in C:FB !!! (2015-12-04 10:59) |

There has to be a config file with the name FB.CFG
in the directory where the GO.BAT lies, if the FB.CFG doesnt work, you have to copy also the INSTALL.EXE(configurator of the disk version) and execute and use your card.
this is my FB.CFG file

For me it runs perfect with the following steps:
in Windows:
- copy all files from cd to hd (i.e. c:gamesfb)
- rename install.prg to install.exe
in DOSBox/DFend:
- mount c c:games
- set soundblaster-irq to 5
- set cycles to max
- run install.exe and make your settings
- run fb.exe |

i copied the cd contents onto c:flashback
i mounted that as drive c, and ran c:fb>go
-cinematics and game run smoothly, just no music or sound effects.
I tried switching these things in the config:
sbtype= (i tried sb1, sb2, sbpro1, sbpro2, sb16, gb)
irq= (i tried 5 and 7)
gus= (i tried true and false)
core= (i tried auto and normal)
cycles= (i tried auto and 2000)
-none of that helped.
within Dosbox, i ran c:install and tried changing the setup's settings for sound and music to soundblaster. This is what gets me: when it asks me if i want to save the settings, i type Y for yes. But it resets them each time to no sound/no music, whether in there or within the in-game settings menu. And if i alter the sound settings more directly using Notepad with Install.cfg (within the game's program files), the permanent changes that i seem to make there don't match with what Dosbox shows when it accesses that same file.

1. after mount in dosbox execute install.exe and reselect Sound FX -> Sound Blaster, Musik -> Adlib / Sound blaster ... save settings and exit
2. run fb.exe and sound in movies and game will be ok. |

Game runs with with Sound Blaster for sound FX and Adlib for music. Sound FX will work if IRQ is set to 5. Installation doesn't seem to work in DosBOX, just use "Command Prompt" to install. |

There is NO in game digital sounds (sounds are in movies only), there is NO music through General MIDI/Roland game drivers. |
