1.Create fifa96 directory to C:
2.Insert your fifa96 cd
3.Start dosbox
4.mount c c:fifa96
5.mount d d: -t cdrom -label FIFAPCCD (d: represents your cdrom drive)
6.d:
7.install
8.After finishing the installing process, exit to dos
9.fifa96
10.have fun ;)

First, create a fifa96 folder under C directory.
Instert CD.
Start Dosbox and type

mount d d: -t cdrom (d represents cd drive)
- mount c c:fifa96
- d:install.bat
- install path: c:fifa96 (installation done)
- c:dir
- cd fifa96
- dir
-fifa96.exe

There is only one problem. Keyboard. When I press while dribbling two keys at the same time, I cannot shoot. ALT key is not working either. However, if you use your Numpad, it seems Ok.

Since the new version of DosBox (0.73) the game actually starts and runs perfectly! No problems with cycles/fatal errors/cd support. Only problem is the keyboard: the game uses Alt + Enter or Ctrl + Enter for some tricks, but these combinations are Windows commando's as well.

I tested this game a dozen times for Dosbox 0.72 and had several problems. I tested two different versions of the game and recieved different results:

Download Version (abandonware):
This version is playable, but there are no videos and sound (although sound is installed). I also noticed that every 4th or 5th game you play breaks up after the final whistle with an error message at the top of the screen saying "[...] windowblock - out of memory"

Orignal CD Version :
This version isn't playable at all. After the first copyright screen the window stays black and you have to restar dosbox.

- install path: c:\fifa96 (in the real hard-disk it's been intalled on 'c:\dosboxgames\fifa96' folder)

The core must be in "dynamic" and the cycles at "auto" or "max" because the menus needs less cycles that in game.

It's working here. Use the original cdrom disc, mount it, replace the fifa 96 directory to a simple directory (c:\fifa96), mount that too, and run it. It will work, you have to switch the cycles to 30000 to play it well.
