Correct:
In my case i must edit KOM.CFG in the game directory.
Original: [SAVEDIR] C:\GAMES\KOM
Edited: [SAVEDIR] \KOM

Ouh, that game was a tough nut to get it running.
2 CD Version.
First of all you must mount both CD's.
Both CD's are mounted as drive d: (for example).
Do not mount CD 1 as drive D: and CD 2 as drive E:.
Do not mount CD 1 as drive D: and CD 2 as another drive D.
Mount both CD-ROM images with one drive letter, in D-Fend you can easy add another image, so you have both images in the list of one drive letter. My fault, i didn't check that first...
In the game you can switch between the images using Ctrl+F4 (default DOSBox Keymapper)
In my case i must edit KOM.CFG in the game directory.
Original: [SAVEDIR] C:GAMESKOM
Edited: [SAVEDIR] KOM
"KOM" is the, your game directory.
Without the modification the game terminates while saving/loading. That's it. Good luck.

The newest version doesn't appear to crash randomly when playing FMVs. I'd say the game is perfectly emulated now. |

While this game seems to be almost perfectly emulated, the one issue is that whenever a movie file is loaded, there is a chance the emulator will crash. The chances are around %15 or so. Other than the attempt to load an FMV every time it crashes and total stability the rest of the time, there doesn't seem to be any other corrolating stuff going on.
The game's cinematics are loaded directly off the CDs, if that helps. |
