Corrected the rating to "supported" because i found a way to play.
Rip the game to a Cue/Bin ISO, and use IMGMOUNT.
the game works perfectly with the latest dosbox. |

Wow! Tried out some DosBox versions. 0.72, 0.71 doesn't work with the game(game runs once, as i already wrote).
0.70 and back however works. Start the game, quit, start aganit, and the game runs perfect.
I'll write a mail to the dev team about this. |

0.72
only got playable, because....
well, the game needs to check the original CD-label
if it's "LBA2", it does run.
But! Doesn't matter, how you mount the game, dosbox forgets the label.
Game starts first, but if you quit, and try to start it again, it'll ask for the CD.
Restart dosbox, game starts again. But if you just play, there are places in the game, where it checks the cd-label again, so you can't continue the game(like after freeing the lighthouse keeper).
Tryed the current cvs(and 3 older ones), but with those, the game absolutely doesn't start. Asks for CD. I think the cd-label option is disabled it the cvs.
I might try older dosbox.. 0.71 maybe, but i don't think it'll work. |

to mount the cd on a linux system type:
mount d /media/cdrom0 -t cdrom -label LBA2 -ioctl -usecd 0
or
mount d /media/cdrom1 -t cdrom -label LBA2 -ioctl -usecd 1
depending wich cd/dvd-drive you are using.
See the guide from ChaosFish for more info. |

On a AMD Athlon 2600+, I set the CPU cycles to 18500. Seems to give a happy blend. Even got Soundblaster 16 Emulation. (Using 0.63)
Sometimes does quit back to Windows. but this is normally ages into play, or sometimes boarding the Ferry for the first time.
I couldn't get it to run under windows(garbled graphics). The same in a DOS Window. So DOSBox rules! |

Must choose "no soundcard" for the game to work. Need to higher the CPU cycles for reasonable speed. |
