White noise instead of music (2011-05-09 20:14) |

I run dosbox 0.74 with fluidsynth 1.1.3 for software MIDI playback on Ubuntu 11.04. The sound effects and the music in the intro (which accompanies the Adeline logo) is played back correctly but then when the menu is displayed there is only white noise coming out of my speakers. Has anyone had the same experience? |

Works fine with 0.74 (2010-05-15 10:52) |

Just tried it out wit DOSBox 0.74 on Win 7 x64, seems to work fine so far.
A savegame is created, too.
The only problem I experienced at first was that the game didn't load the voice data. I followed Snake101's suggestion and copied all the VOX-files to the harddrisk manually, which fixed this issue. |

Playing with Dosbox 0.73 doesn't create a savegame. Haven't tried to make/mount an ISO yet. |

Linux with dosbox 0.72 (2008-01-23 14:25) |

I had it working perfectly under linux using the following :
mount the iso of the CD-ROM inside dosbox with
:>IMGMOUNT.COM d lba.iso -t iso
And after that I had to copy manually all the VOX file on my hard drive.
With these two tricks, the game works perfectly |

With 0.70 run well, no problems but with 0.72 Save Game System will not work.
Play with 0.70 ;) |

It works fine for me. A word of advice: for any games which have trouble detecting a CD, it's best to create a bin/cue image (software like UltraISO will let you do this). Then using imgmount in Dosbox you can mount the image. There's many advantages to this: imgmount offers a great deal more compatibility and will often bypass CD protection schemes on games. But also, it dramatically increases loading and installing speeds since you're working with a hard drive file and not an actual CD which is limited by your DVD drive speed. |

Works fine in 0.63 (2005-04-05 08:04) |

Follow ChaosFish's instructions.
mount D D:\ -t cdrom -label ADELINE -ioctl
is the most important line. |

The game is running a little slow in my PC. Is there any ideal configuration or sth like that? (OBS: I use the win-Frontend D-Fend, and there are some graphics configurations in it) |

don't work in linux (2004-07-11 22:16) |

CD version don't work in Linux as 0.61. It's because Dosbox is unfortunately not truly cross-platform in regard to cdrom support. The flag -ioctl do not work in linux which is needed. |

I've tried about 20 different ways to get the game to start too but always leading to no cd. I've tried copying the cd contents to a folder on c then mount that folder as drive d but it didn't work. I guess if I knew what drive the game was looking for the cd in I might be able to get it to work. A little help please |

I guess I must be doing something wrong. It installs fine, but complains that it can't find the CD when I try to run the game. |

Works (2004-03-01 08:43) |

VOX files on CD have to be copied to the harddisk manually. The game hangs if it tries to copy them by itself. |
