Hello. I need help solving this error I keep getting when I attempt to launch Pro Pinball: The Web through DOSBox version 0.74:
"WEB: Internal error: Error 3 initialising CDROM routines. Press RETURN to continue..." |

Game is completely functional for me with the only issue being that this game can support 1024X768 at 32K colours, but the option is grayed out.
I would imagine it is due to the Trio64's limitations. Would be nice to use the game in its full glory though. |

The Web uses some funky method for the CD check that dosbox doesn't support. A fix can be found here: http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=10786 |

After further testing, I'm upgrading the status to "runable". The game gives the same
exact "WEB: Pro Pinball, The Web CD is missing. Press RETURN to continue..." error
message under both Bochs and running under the native MS-DOS 6.22 version. The problem
lies with the game and not the DOSBox emulator. |

This game seems dependent on having its original CD-ROM, so the CD-ROM drive was mounted
using "mount d d:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl" (no quotes). Running WEB.EXE prompts the
user to run the INSTALL.EXE program first. The installation program works fine then
exits, but attempting to run the game returns this error: "WEB: Pro Pinball, The Web CD
is missing. Press RETURN to continue..." Also tested using versions 0.63 and 0.65 (the
former produced a similar error regarding "WEB: Internal error: Error 1 initialising
CDROM routines. Press RETURN to continue..." |
