HCl made a Joystickpatch for Armada in Dosbox
http://download.wcnews.com/files/arma/armada_floppy_dosbox_joystick_ipx.zip
1) Unzip the patch to your Armada directory.
2a) armadadb is your executable file for playing regular Armada with joystick support
2b) pgdb is your executable file for playing Proving Grounds with joystick support and ipx internet play
3a) The host of the game must start a second instance of DosBox and type "ipxnet startserver" to start the IPX server. It's not a good idea to use the same instance to play the game in case of crashes. If other players have trouble connecting, you may need to adjust your router or software firewall to forward traffic on port 213 to the host computer. The method for doing this differs depending on the firewall used
3b) PG players must connect to the host by typing "ipxnet connect" followed by the host's IP address
4) Everyone should launch Proving Grounds and select IPX game. You should be able to view the opposing players in the lobby

"Sidewinder Precisision Pro usb" support doesnt work
I cant neither calibrate it properly with the in-game calibration nor with additional our of game calibration.
Regarding the installation problem of specialsymbol
try using the "subst A: C:\armada" command that should work.
Can't install it! (2005-02-26 08:48)
specialsymbol
I have a problem: I can't get the game to install. The installation routine allows only drive A or B to install from, but I don't have a floppy.
So I mounted a directory as drive "A", put all the disc contents (of all 5 or 6) in there, and tried to install.
Unfortunately DOSBOX crashes after disc 1.
Doesn't work in the normal Windows DOSprompt either. Same problem: the installation routine quits after disc 1. Anyone had this problem and got it solved?
I wonder if I should put always only one disc in it and change it in the background, but I don't even get a prompt like "Insert Disc 2".
Figured it out, Whoa! (2004-06-25 12:05)

Okey here's ALL the beef(IN 4 STEPS): (STEP 1)You have to run dos box with ems set to false.
(STEP 2) The best setting for cpu cycle is 3263.
(STEP 3) Frame skip helps when set to 2.
(STEP 4) Run 'Armada' with this command at the appropriate prompt 'within the folder of the game': loadfix -65 armada
(Two bonuses) (1st) Running armada at loadfix -64 usually results in it locking up! (2nd) Running it in a window instead of full screen prolongs the programs running time A.K.A. Crashes.
(So remember running in window and have fun)
**The window problem has something to do with unselecting the program for background purposes and the game crashes in full screen cause it can't be multi-tasked IN full screen** In window it can be multi-tasked.
