Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a puzzle-solving adventure game. This game works fine under DOSBox.
Making it work in ScummVM
The simplest and arguably best way to run Indy4 is to use ScummVM rather than DOSBox. ScummVM needs a folder with the following files copied off the disc:
- MONSTER.SOU
- ATLANTIS.000
- ATLANTIS.001
Making it work in DOSBox
Create a directory on your hard drive to copy the CD to, eg...
D:\OLDGAMES\DISKS\ATLANTIS
then copy all the files from the CD into this folder.
Then create another folder which the game will use as its working folder when installed, eg...
D:\OLDGAMES\INSTALL\ATLANTIS
Then run DOSBox, and mount the appropriate drives and install the game...
Z:\>MOUNT C D:\OLDGAMES\INSTALL\ATLANTIS Z:\>MOUNT D D:\OLDGAMES\DISKS\ATLANTIS Z:\>D: D:\>ATLANTIS
Go through the setup and set up SoundBlaster card accepting default settings. Then run the game. If you prefer full screen, use <Alt><Enter> to toggle.
Cool game!
