I just created this page to try and get some help running MW1 on DosBox. After my first battle the game will not load the next screen. Has anyone else had this problem?

sound
some people (including me) had trouble with the music in this game. This is the solution, from my comment here.
glut is right about the mpu401 setting. As for the music, my guess is that the game detects a soundblaster card and then decides not to play it. You can force the sound card with the following options:
A - AdLib T - Tandy MT-32 R - Roland S - PC Speaker
so to make it use adlib sound you do
MW A
adlib sound worked for me and made the music play.
There are also graphic options
1 - EGA 2 - Tandy 3 - CGA
the game should automagically pick EGA which is the best graphic option, but you can force that, too. The two can be mixed:
MW 1 A
