mad.and.insane

(like me) ...remove all read only attributes from all files; I had that issue after copying the files from CD; mystically the game starts directly from CD (or anything mounted as CD), though you can't save anything there. Just in case anyone else keeps wondering what the fault is, this is the solution.

For the language selection you must use the numeric keypad, not the numbers at the top of the keyboard. Blame the game developer for this, not DOSBox.

Artic Baron does work (2010-06-15 13:31)

Wandrell

Artic Baron, the american version, does work. But Transarctica asks you to choose the language after the title screen, and gets stuck there. This is similar to what happens on other Silmaril games, like Ishar games.
