Unreal must be installed in a directory called UNREAL or the game gets stuck at a black screen at startup. I suppose the game's installer would not allow another directory name, but an archive file does not have that restriction.

BTW, DOSBox has a prefetching core built in since 0.73, just set cputype=386_prefetch, no need for a special (and probably outdated) build.

After launching unreal.exe the screen remains black. Same issue with "DosBox Prefetch" build.
Runs fine under Win98 VMWare machine...
