Hi, I suck at computers, but I really love this game and want to get it working. I've downloaded DOSbox for windows and I still have the original Stonekeep CD. Can I run the CD on DOSbox somehow, or do I have to download the game from somewhere. I have no clue what to do. HELP! |

Those listed items where meant to have been on separate lines - these forums chuck everything on the same line. Also, make sure there is a backslash after the CD=G: at the top. Again, these forums do not allow backslash characters.
backslash character is a line top left running diagonally down to the bottom right (the reverse of the one on the ? key) |

@actually (ddtmm2)
Go to the CONFIG file in INTRPLAYSTONKEEP, make a backup copy, then edit the original file using notepad.
Enter the following in place of the existing info:
CD=G:
reverse=0
full=1
sound=E000
music=A001
soundio=220
musicio=330
dma=1
irq=5
video=svga
input=keyboard
vidspeed=fast
#caption_on_
sfx_vol=9
music_vol=9
brightness=0
mouse_sen=5
MOUSE_OPTION=B
#MUSIC_DISABLED
#SFX_DISABLED
-----remember to change the bit at top which says CD=G: to whichever drive your cd drive is mounted as in DOSBOX. So if your CD drive is set to E: then it would read CD=E:
The only other thing you can do is download VDM SOUND (do a google search). |

I had this same problem. I fixed it by running setup in Windows and selecting all the default information for the plain SoundBlaster card (16). It may or may not work here, but it writes it to some file and will work inside Dosbox. What I don't know how to do is get this game going while running Linux. |

I can't run this game!! (2007-12-19 14:09) |

Im using dosbox ver. 0.72.
I have installed Stonekeep via normal windows, cause when i was trying to install it via Dosbox, setup couldn't finish copying files (it copied only data folder). However i got it installed fully via windows. When im trying to run setup.exe in stonkeep folder i got message that: "HMI driers not present in current directory" and when im trying to run game by running any of the files (sk.bat), i got message that: "cannot find config file". What the hell is wrong with this game?? |

Works fine except that the mouse still pulls to the right. There's two solutions: Either you don't "lock" your mouse onto Dosbox (you can still move your mouse outside of Dosbox then) and then click inside Dosbox once the game has started OR you keep the mouse button press while the intro movies play. |

No Mouse Problem anymore! (2005-11-21 08:42) |

The Mouse-Jumping is a Resolution Problem!
If you start Stonekeep DON'T klick (release) the Mouse before the Main Menu appears (you can skip the Intro-Sequence with SPACE).
At the Main Menu (Load Game, New Game), you can release the Mouse (with klick).
Mouse-Jumping Problem is gone! Works fine!

Hi!
If you start Stonekeep with
sk win95
then the mouse doesn't "jump" any more.
You don't need to install special drivers or anything like that.
Have fun with Stonekeep!

Hi!
Version 0.60:
Game Starts (if CD mounted of course) but mouse jumps to right side of screen. Especially when trying to pick up sth, or doing a klick. Horrible to play this way. |
