Making it work
If you require support for general issues, see the performance guide and FAQ.
Testing
- It appears to work, but dialogues are way too quick (maybe this can be tweaked?), while animations are ok. Some graphics are flickering a bit. Tested on Windows XP / DOSBox 0.72
- To get Tequila working in DOSBox, you need to unSET the ULTRASND and ULTRADIR variables. If you just leave the BLASTER line, then full-speech cutscenes will work with the proper timing. Type set ULTRASND= and set ULTRADIR= before running TB.BAT from the installation folder.
- I suspect that this is because the game uses the timing of the sound playback to determine when the next cutscene should fire. When it's there, the Gravis Ultrasound stuff will confuse the game, causing cutscenes to loop indefinitely or skip instantly to the end. If you leave just the BLASTER variable for Soundblaster, then the game will work. Windows XP / DOSBox 0.74
