SimEarth is a Maxis "Sim" game, in which the player controls the development of a planet.
Making it work
SimEarth requires the loadfix command to run properly (loadfix simearth
).

Windows XP Pro SP2; 2.8 GHz Pentium D; 2 GB RAM
SimEarth version 1.2
Settings:
- DOSBox:
- CPU Cycles: 8000
- SimEarth:
- Video: VGA 640x480 16 color
- Sound: Sound Blaster
Game seems to run OK, with full sound effects and music. Motion is a bit choppy at DOSBox's default 3000 cycles; as mentioned above, I turn it up to 8000 cycles when playing.
