Redneck Rampage is a 2.5D game (I believe) created using the Duke Nukem 3D engine. Just like Duke, Redneck Rampage also includes a level editor. Unlike Duke, Redneck Rampage will make ya feel like growin' a mullet and downin' a sixer while workin' on yer truck in yer wife-beater. Yeah. It's that good. Quite possibly one of my favorite games of all time.
Making it work
- While other options may work, I got the Sound FX and Music working using the Soundblaster option. However, the IRQ for the Sound FX did have to be changed to 7 in my case.
- The screen resolution options were numerous, however when I first loaded in 1280x1024, the game looked horrible. I settled for 800x600, which help the game run a bit less choppy.
- You will also have to mount the CD drive and run from the original CD.
- The sound can become choppy sometimes with the Gravis Ultrasound option, although Gravis gives clearer sound.
