QTest is the pre-release of the hit game Quake. Demonstrating a lot of the early technology and intended to give players both an apatite for the coming game as well as to sort out Network and Graphical issues, QTest is an interesting artifact, and fortunately run great on DOSBox (assuming you have a fast enough computer).
Making it work
QTest requires a fairly fast computer to run inside DOSBox, but fortunately requires very little effort to configure. The game automatically detects available sound and graphics hardware, and should startup on its own. Once inside the game, you will need to type YES to accept the End User License Agreement, and then
MAP <Map Name>
The full descriptions of the available maps can be found in the README.TXT but their names are TEST1, TEST2 and TEST3.
